Highlights from the Mayor's State of the City Address

2016 continued to build on the successes we have had as a city over the past decade. Our downtown continues to be recognized as a model across the state of Georgia and the southeast. We continue to be recognized as a great place to “live, work and play.”

In 2016:

These items really only scratch the surface of the things that were accomplished in 2016. It’s easy to hit the high points, but we shouldn’t lose sight of what is accomplished on a daily basis.  In closing, I would like to leave you with a quote from Former President Abraham Lincoln, “I do the very best I know how — the very best I can, and I mean to keep on doing so until the end.”
