A recently installed musical keyboard lab at Northwood Elementary School is bringing the joy of music to all students. Funded by the Northwood Elementary Foundation, the keyboard lab consists of thirty (30) keyboards, stands and headphones. Students from grades K through 5th use the keyboard lab as part of their music instruction. Head of Music and Chorus at Northwood Elementary, Kimberly Dahl, approached the Northwood Foundation with a special request to have the keyboard lab funded and installed. Kim believes that the keyboards provide students with an opportunity to individualize their musical skills and musicianship. Furthermore, says Kim, The students can move at their own pace and are so proud of their accomplishments.
