Northwood Elementary Students collected hundreds of food items for children in need recently. The food will be given to the Save It Forward program of Alive Ministries, located in Marietta. The organization serves hungry children and their families, often through food pantries set up in local schools. NES held its food drive in February because many area food pantries are fully stocked with food around the holidays, but become sparse during the months between. Students were challenged to line the halls with food!
